Privacy Policy

Subspace is built around a local-first subscription library.

Subspace Subscription Tracker helps you manage subscription records on your Mac. This policy explains what the app stores locally, what optional Apple services can receive data when you enable them, and how StoreKit subscriptions are handled.

Effective date: April 11, 2026 Applies to the macOS app View Subspace on the Mac App Store

Short version

No ads. No third-party tracking SDKs.

Subspace does not include third-party advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking SDKs. The app does not require a Subspace account or developer-run login backend for your subscription library.

Source of truth

Your library starts on your Mac.

Subscription records that you create in Subspace are stored locally by the app. Optional Apple integrations can project or sync selected data through Apple services only when you enable those features.

Data handled by Subspace

Subscription records

Subspace can store information you enter, paste, import, or edit, including subscription names, providers, prices, currencies, billing cycles, renewal dates, categories, statuses, notes, source URLs, and integration metadata needed to keep Apple Calendar or Reminders projections working.

Local app storage
Subspace stores your subscription library locally on your Mac. The app is designed so this local library remains the source of truth.
Smart Paste and imports
Smart Paste uses deterministic parsing in the app to turn pasted subscription text into editable drafts. Subspace does not send pasted text to an external AI service.
Exports
If you export your library, the exported file is controlled by you and stored wherever you choose to save it.

Optional Apple services

Integrations run only when you enable them.

iCloud and CloudKit sync
If you enable iCloud sync, Subspace may store and sync your subscription library using Apple's CloudKit infrastructure associated with your Apple Account. This is optional and intended to mirror the Subspace library across your Apple devices.
Apple Calendar sync
If you enable Apple Calendar sync, Subspace may create, update, or remove renewal events in Apple Calendar. Calendar entries are projections of your Subspace records; Calendar is not treated as the primary billing database.
Apple Reminders sync
If you enable Apple Reminders sync, Subspace may create, update, or remove reminder items in Apple Reminders for renewals and trial endings. Reminders are action surfaces, not the source of truth for your subscription records.
Local notifications
If you enable notifications, Subspace may schedule local macOS notifications for renewal and trial reminders. Notification permissions are managed by macOS.

Purchases

Subspace Pro is handled through Apple StoreKit.

Subspace uses Apple's StoreKit APIs to offer, purchase, restore, and check access to Subspace Pro subscriptions. Apple processes payments, renewals, refunds, and subscription management. Subspace does not receive or process your credit card number.

Your controls

  • Turn off iCloud, Calendar, Reminders, or notifications from Subspace settings.
  • Manage Apple Calendar and Apple Reminders entries through Apple's apps and settings.
  • Manage or cancel Subspace Pro through Apple's subscription management surfaces.
